Guest Spotlight

Madonna is so thankful to be able to share her testimony with others. Her journey began at the age of 36 when she knew something was wrong with her body. After several wrong diagnoses from different doctors, she was referred to UAMS Cancer Clinic and it was discovered she had cervical cancer. Madonna was told she was stage 2 and needed to start chemo and radiation treatment.

Madonna's journey through her battle with cancer is truly inspiring. Facing multiple challenges and setbacks, she found strength within herself to endure the treatments and the emotional toll it took on her. The support she received from her loved ones and the Home for Healing facility played a crucial role in her journey, providing her with comfort, care, and resources to help her through each step of her treatment.

Her determination to fight for her life, especially for the sake of her three daughters, demonstrates her resilience and love for her family. Despite the uncertainty and fear that often accompany a cancer diagnosis, Madonna's story is a testament to the power of hope and the human spirit's capacity to overcome adversity.

By sharing her testimony, Madonna not only celebrates her own journey but also offers hope and inspiration to others who may be facing similar challenges. Her experience serves as a reminder to cherish each day and to never give up, no matter how difficult the road may seem.
We are very thankful to report that Madonna is back at home with her family and doing well!

Our Volunteers

This past Thursday we had the pleasure of having our friends from Genentech volunteer their time to cook and freeze individual meals for the guests of our home. They made delicious spaghetti and chicken spaghetti and afterwards hosted a lunch for our guests.

If you, your business, your church group, friends, pickleball team, etc. would like to cook for the home, please contact Megan @501.3298.2900 for more information! We also have meal sponsorships at different levels available!

Words from our Director

This past month has been a profound period of reflection for me. The joy of welcoming my first grandson has been tempered by watching cancer win the courageous battle my mother has fought. These personal experiences have deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by cancer patients and parents of NICU babies at Home for Healing.

I feel incredibly fortunate to live in a city with access to excellent medical treatments and facilities, and it humbles me to support those less fortunate on their medical journeys. Seeing firsthand what our guests endure has strengthened my commitment to easing their burdens, allowing them to focus on their battles.

Cancer touches many lives, and while each journey is unique, the struggles are shared. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you navigating cancer or the NICU experience. May God bless each of you on your path.  I appreciate your support to allow us to continue our important work.

Sincerely,

Kristin's%20Signature.png
