Guest Spotlight

Frank and Grace's journey together seems like a beautiful testament to love, care, and resilience. From their first encounter during the university studies to becoming educators and partners in caregiving, their story is inspiring.

Frank's experiences, from serving in the Air Force during Vietnam to teaching flight school and later social studies, showcase his dedication and passion for service and education. Grace's commitment to literacy and her involvement in important causes like the Minority Health Commission and the Holocaust Education Committee demonstrate her compassion and drive to make a difference in her community.

Their mutual support during times of illness highlights the strength of their bond. Despite facing challenges like Frank's esophageal cancer diagnosis, they continue to care for each other with love and grace.

Their positive experience with the proton treatment in Little Rock and the Home for Healing speaks volumes about the importance of finding solace and support during difficult times. The sense of serenity, love, and community they've found there is truly remarkable and undoubtedly contributes to Frank's healing journey.

Their eagerness to share their experience with others reflects their generous spirits and desire to spread hope and positivity. Their story serves as a reminder of the power of love, resilience, and the importance of supportive communities during life's trials.

Last Wednesday evening, we hosted a reception honoring the Master Gardeners of Pulaski County. This fantastic group spend their time and effort maintaining the garden at our home. Pictured are the gardeners that serve on this project along with Dot Brown. The Dot Brown Serenity Garden at Home for Healing provides a beautiful place to escape the stresses of the day for our guests and staff too! We are so grateful for this wonderful group of people that make our home feel special! Please stop by the home and take a look at our beautiful outdoor space!🌺🌷🌼

Words from our Director

At Home for Healing, we experience a broad spectrum of emotions and outcomes. Each day is unpredictable, bringing both moments of joy and deep sorrow. We witness our guests bravely fight their battles, and it is heart-wrenching when, sometimes, the fight is lost despite their courage. Yet, amidst these challenges, we also see extraordinary miracles—guests who defy all odds and triumph.

These experiences serve as a constant reminder of the fragility of life, teaching us to cherish every moment. They also underscore the importance of your support, which enables us to provide a nurturing environment for our guests. Let us not forget to express our love to those dear to us and to be grateful for each day we are given, and for the role you play in making our work possible.

Thank you for being a part of our community and for your unwavering support.

Sincerely,
