Home for Healing offers support for cancer patients receiving outpatient treatment and their caregivers, parents of NICU infants and family members with a loved in ICU by providing convenient and no cost lodging in a peaceful and restorative environment.
Guest Spotlight
Mr. Henry is doing well with his cancer treatment. After being diagnosed with prostate cancer in November 2023, he joined Home for Healing in August 2024. Throughout his treatment, he has experienced minimal side effects, though he occasionally feels fatigued. His treatment concluded the first week of October, following nine weeks of care.
Retired from Harding University, Mr. Henry has been happily married to his wife for over 51 years. They are proud parents of two daughters, who are both married, and have two grandsons. He loves camping, and for five years, he and his wife spent their summers in New Hampshire before returning to their small town in Arkansas for the winter. In addition to raising their children, they enjoyed remodeling homes and gardening together. He remains actively involved in church ministries in both Arkansas and New Hampshire.
During his treatment, Mr. Henry continues to care for his wife, who is currently in rehabilitation following a stroke and a heart attack. He is especially grateful for her progress after the stroke, as well as for his early diagnosis and treatment. He feels at peace knowing about Home for Healing and appreciates the supportive community he has found here. Since his first tour of the facility, he has felt that every need has been met, and he believes Home for Healing is a true blessing for everyone who stays there.
Volunteer Opportunities
We could not do wonderful things for our cancer patients, their caregivers, ICU patient caregivers, and NICU parents if it weren’t for all of the hard work and dedication from our volunteers! Home for Healing relies on volunteers to help make our guests feel at home.
Reach out to our Guest Relations Manager, Trudy Jenkins, and explore the various ways you can get involved. Whether it’s through direct assistance with guests, cooking a meal, organizing events, or any other capacity, we'd love to hear from you! Call 501-978-2900 or visit our website www.homeforhealing.org.
This past Friday, our 4300 Club members had a ball volunteering and dancing the night away at Monster Bash! Thank you to all who attended and donated/participants of the auction. There were killer costumes and some pretty cool dance moves.
Shopping at Kroger is an easy way to give back to our home! Kroger Community Rewards program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Here’s how it works:
Home for Healing relies entirely on the generosity of our community through grants, sponsorships, and donations. This support enables us to offer free lodging and ensure that housing is never a barrier to accessing essential treatment.
To help us continue our mission, consider making a donation or sponsoring one of our events. We are constantly in need of supplies to enhance the comfort of our guests, many of whom arrive on short notice with minimal belongings.
Your contribution of $100 makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for your support!

Words from our Director
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in Monster Bash 2024! As we often hear, this is truly the best non-profit party of the year—all while staying focused on our mission. This one night is incredibly impactful, helping to ensure the success of our home throughout the entire year. We’re thrilled to announce that we raised over $225,000 this year, which covers nearly half our annual budget.
We owe special thanks to our Monster Bash chairs, Dr. Cheryl Payne and Morgan Gary, and the incredible committee members who dedicated their time and energy. Our staff also deserves immense gratitude for their long hours and commitment to making this the best event in town—your hard work does not go unnoticed.
If you’re interested in joining the fun next year, contact us! We’re already excited and gearing up for Monster Bash 2025. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
Sincerely,
Executive Director
